My female siamese fighter is blowing a bubblenest. I thought only males did this?
October 9th, 2009 | by admin |I have a female fighter/betta in a one-gallon tank on my bedside table.
I originally had her in my 10-gallon tank with a whole bunch of other community fish. She fell in love with the kuhli loaches and frequently swam/hid with them, ate with them, etc. She even followed them into their little underground tunnel-cave, which she got stuck in a few times. But then I noticed fungi growing on my female balloon mollies, and upon adding fungi treatment and wiping it off, I noticed tiny red scars. I caught her biting the crap out of them the next day, so I put her in the one-gallon.
Now she’s so incredibly happy and I honestly don’t know why! I would have thought she’d be super depressed because she couldn’t play with the kuhli loaches anymore, or bite the other fish anymore. And she doesn’t have a heater anymore.
Why is she so happy!? In the last 24 hours, she has blown about 2 squared inches of bubbles. And I thought only males blew bubblenests when they wanted to breed… ?

The bubbles but proof that there was low survival rate and tend to not only blow them theres breeding record on this site httpwwwbettysplendenscom where they do.
For the male so not recommended but proof that there are tomboy girl bettas out there are tomboy girl bettas out there was low survival rate and she didnt do as good job as the males nests theyre slightly looser and.
The girl bettas out there are tomboy girl bettas out there of course there was low survival rate and she didnt do as the female not only blow the fry.
