Bloated Betta Fish, is it normal?

I have 2 male fighters (obviously not in the same tank) and my red one has bloated up and now his belly looks like a pregnant guppy.

They’re both the same type and my black/blue one is still normal shape, so i don’t think it is happens with a sort of species.

Does anyone know what is happening?

He might be having trouble with the food you are giving him try not feeding him for about 3 to 5 days and see it it goes away. I did that with some fish I had and it worked out nicely. It might seem silly but he probably has gas. lol

We used to have some female bettas in a tank with some other fish.

They all got along, but the bettas were eating way too much, and soon they looked like they’d swallowed a marble.

We ended up putting the bettas in their own little tank, and only fed them once every 3 days. They slimmed back down. Well, mostly.
